Bryan Lu

     ​Canadian Cellist, Brylan Lu, is a collaborator, session musician, recording artist, and educator in the Greater Toronto Area. He has recorded soundtracks for studio albums, short- and feature-length films, including the 2019 film “Last Call” which won the Queen Palm International Film Festival Silver Award for Best Music.

     Bryan has performed at Carnegie Hall’s Weil Hall, Symphony Space, and Staller Center for the Arts in New York, as well as at many festivals including the International Musical Arts Institute, the Beethoven Institute, QuartetFest@ Laurier, Orford Arts Centre Academy, and the Toronto Summer Music Festival. Bryan has collaborated with numerous acclaimed artists, including Colin Carr and members of the Emerson String Quartet.

     As an educator, Bryan was a Chamber Music Mentor at Pinchas Zukerman’s Young Artist Program at the National Arts Centre in Ottawa and continues to coach and mentor chamber music throughout Toronto. He is currently a collaborative teaching assistant at the University of Toronto and is based in Mississauga where he maintains a private teaching studio.
