Bijan Sepanji
Bijan Sepanji is a Canadian-Iranian violinist and educator, with a diverse musical palette that encompasses Iranian classical music, jazz, and contemporary western music.
Bijan holds degrees in violin performance from McGill and Indiana Universities, as well as an Artist Diploma from the Glenn Gould School of the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto. He frequently performs with orchestras such as Toronto Concert Orchestra, Esprit, Sinfonia Toronto, and Canadian Golha Orchestra. He has toured across Canada, as well as in China, Turkey, Iran, Italy and the USA. He has performed concerts and presented masterclasses with his string quartet, The Ton Beau, at the University of Lethbridge in Alberta, University of Toronto, Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee as well as in Chicago, Illinois. Bijan's instrument was made by Canadian luthier, Mark Schurr in 2009. |
